Description
Get your HO scale freight trains running safely with the Walthers Mainline 910-8712 International Extended Wide-Vision Caboose. This ready-to-run model combines the best of the traditional cupola and bay window. Used by numerous railroads from 1965 to the 1980s, many of these cabooses still serve as maintenance equipment and shoving platforms today. Key features include: a one-time run of these road numbers (order now as quantity is limited), a correct X-panel roof without running boards or end ladders, dimensions that match the prototype, an authentic extended wide vision cupola, a detailed underbody with side-mount brake gear, scale thickness end railings, molded drill starter points for easy addition of grab irons (with a separately sold Caboose Detail Kit 910-201), Barber Swingmaster roller bearing trucks with 33' turned metal RP-25 wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.
Using your Walthers Mainline caboose is easy. Just place it at the end of your HO scale freight train and it's ready to go. There's no need for assembly as it comes fully built. When handling the caboose, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate parts like the grab irons and couplers. To keep it in top shape, regularly clean the wheels and couplers with a soft, dry cloth. If you want to add grab irons, use the Caboose Detail Kit (910-201) and the molded drill starter points on the model. Since the road numbers are a one-time run and quantity is limited, make sure to order yours soon if you haven't already.
