Description
This Atlas N scale model train caboose is a great addition to any train collection. It's based on a standard caboose design from the International Car Company of Kenton, Ohio, used in the 1940s. While often linked with the New Haven Railroad, this body style was also used by other rail lines. These cabooses had a long service life and were still in operation well into the diesel era.
**Features:**
- Ready-to-run right out of the box.
- Finely detailed end rails, smokestack, and ladders.
- Brake line details add to the realism.
- Weighted chassis for smooth running.
- Friction-bearing or roller-bearing caboose trucks as appropriate.
- Factory-equipped with AccuMate® couplers.
- Accurate painting and printing for a realistic look.
- Railroad-specific features.
There are two different body styles:
- **New Haven Body Style:** Windows are spaced closer to the cupola.
- **Nickel Plate Body Style:** Windows are spaced further from the cupola.
Using your Atlas N scale caboose is easy. Just take it out of the box and it's ready to run on your N scale train tracks. Since it comes factory - equipped with AccuMate® couplers, you can quickly connect it to other train cars in your set.
When handling the caboose, be gentle as the finely detailed end rails, smokestack, and ladders can be fragile. Avoid dropping it or applying too much force on these parts.
For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the caboose regularly. This will help keep the accurate painting and printing looking great. If there's dust inside the caboose, you can use a can of compressed air to blow it out. Store the caboose in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any damage to the paint or parts.
