Description
The Atlas Trainman 50006027 offers a stunning N scale C&O-Style Steel Center-Cupola Caboose in the ARR Alaska 1084 livery with yellow and blue colors. Note that the picture might show a different road number. The first all-steel cabooses for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad were made in 1937 by Magor Car Corporation in Clifton, N.J. Along with St. Louis Car Company and ACF, they built 350 cabooses with a similar design, the last ones in 1949. Many remained in service until the 1980s after rebuilding and modernization. Similar cabooses were also built for Pere Marquette, Missouri Pacific, and Chicago & Eastern Illinois. Key features include a crisply molded body, a weighted and detailed underframe, AccuMate® knuckle couplers, and window glazing.
Using this Atlas Trainman caboose is easy. Just place it on your N scale train track at the end of your train cars. It will fit smoothly with other cars equipped with compatible couplers. When handling the caboose, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate details like the window glazing. For maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body and underframe. Keep it away from moisture and extreme temperatures to prevent any warping or rusting. If you notice any loose parts or issues with the couplers, you can contact the manufacturer for assistance.
