Description
HomeShops presents the HFB-041-001, a limited edition HO scale Atlas USRA rebuilt 40' steel box car painted for the freelance Virginian and Ohio model railroad. The road number is V&O 30347, though the picture might show a different one. Allen McClelland's Virginian and Ohio is a well - known freelanced model railroad, and we at Home Shops are big fans. This transition - era boxcar has the classic V&O coonskin logo and simple Railroad Roman font lettering. It's available in four numbers, perfect for modeling the transition or first - generation diesel eras of the Virginian and Ohio. By WWII, most USRA double - sheathed box cars were rebuilt with steel sides, and these rebuilds make a great addition to the Atlas HO scale line. The box car features a ready - to - run design, a highly detailed 10 - panel body, accurate painting and printing, AccuMate® couplers, an opening door, and more.

Using your HO scale Atlas USRA rebuilt 40' steel box car is easy. It's ready - to - run, so you can just place it on your model railroad track and start enjoying. When handling the car, be gentle as it has separately applied wire grabs and side ladders that can be easily damaged. Avoid getting the car wet as it can damage the paint and details. To keep it in good condition, use a soft, dry cloth to dust it regularly. If you notice any dirt or grime that won't come off with dusting, you can use a mild soap and water solution, but make sure to dry it thoroughly afterwards. Also, check the couplers from time to time to ensure they are working properly for smooth connections with other cars on the track.
