Description
The 745-1348 MC2A is a top - notch decoder suitable for both HO and N scale trains. It features a 7 - pin JST direct - plug interface. With dimensions of 0.709' x 0.419' x 0.191' (18.02mm x 10.63mm x 4.85mm), it's compact and ideal for locomotives where larger decoders won't fit. It offers 1.0/2.0 Amp continuous/peak current, 2 total functions with a 100 mA function rating, and 2 12V outputs. This decoder provides excellent slow - speed control with Back EMF Load Compensation, super - quiet motor performance, and can automatically detect DC power. You can customize acceleration, deceleration, lighting effects, and speed curves. It supports 12 - Volt bulbs, allows function remapping, and has a decoder lock for safe programming. It's also fully compatible with Airwire™ operation. Note: It does not include any harnesses and can be directly plugged into a 7 - pin JST locomotive or an adapter harness.

Using the 745 - 1348 MC2A decoder is quite straightforward. First, check if your locomotive has a 7 - pin JST socket. If it does, you can directly plug the decoder in. If not, you can use one of the adapter harnesses. When powering up, the decoder will automatically detect DC power. You can then start configuring the settings like lighting effects, acceleration, and deceleration curves according to your preference. For lighting, you can choose from 20 different programmable effects and set multiple brightness levels. Remember, this decoder doesn't come with any harnesses, so make sure you have the right one if needed. To maintain the decoder, keep it away from dust and moisture. If you want to program it, make sure to activate the decoder lock to prevent any accidental changes. Also, don't overload the decoder; the continuous/peak current is 1.0/2.0 Amp, so stay within this limit.
