Description
Upgrade your 1960s and later freight car fleet with the Walthers Mainline 40-foot American Car and Foundry Modernized Welded Boxcar featuring 8-foot Youngstown Doors. These HO scale models are inspired by the thousands of general service boxcars upgraded to meet 1960s safety regulations. Key features include: a brand-new body style; a limited - quantity, one - time run of these road numbers, so order now; prototypes used in general freight service from the late 1960s to the 1980s; cars rebuilt to meet new safety standards like no running boards or mounts on the roof, tall ladders and a molded roof - mounted grab iron at the B (brake wheel end) only, and short ladders at the A end. Also, it has a detailed 10 - panel body, 8 - foot Youngstown doors, late Stanray 4/4 improved Dreadnaught ends, a Stanray diagonal panel roof, correct 33 - foot turned metal RP - 25 metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.

Using your Walthers Mainline HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model train track and connect it to other cars using the Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. You can add it to your freight train and watch it roll along. When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate parts like the ladders and grab irons. For maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to dust the car regularly. If there are stubborn marks, you can use a mild soap and water solution, but make sure to dry it thoroughly afterwards. Keep the boxcar away from extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent any warping or corrosion of the metal parts. And remember, since these are limited - quantity models, take good care of yours to enjoy it for a long time.
