Description
Upgrade your 1960s and later freight car fleet with the Walthers Mainline 40' American Car and Foundry Modernized Welded Boxcar featuring 8' Youngstown Doors. These HO models, typical of thousands upgraded for new safety regulations in the 1960s, offer a brand - new body style. There's a one - time run of these road numbers, so order now as quantities are limited. Prototypes were used in general freight service from the late 1960s to 1980s. They're based on cars rebuilt for new safety standards, like no running boards on the roof, tall ladders at the brake wheel end, and short ladders at the other end. The boxcars have a detailed 10 - panel body, 8' Youngstown doors, late Stanray 4/4 improved Dreadnaught ends, Stanray diagonal panel roof, correct 33' turned metal RP - 25 metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.

Using this Walthers HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model train tracks and let it be part of your freight train. When handling it, be gentle to avoid any damage to the detailed parts like the doors and ladders. For maintenance, use a soft brush to clean off dust from the body, wheels, and couplers regularly. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any color fading or warping. Also, make sure to keep it away from sharp objects that could scratch the paint or break the small details. And if you're not using it for a long time, you can wrap it in a soft cloth for extra protection.
