Description
The Kato 37-6113 represents the General Electric P42, also known as the 'Genesis', a 4200-horsepower modern passenger engine used in the US and Canada. Over time, it has seen revisions for easier upkeep and part replacement, like a bolt-on fiberglass nose panel and a rounder headlight bezel. This model has a coreless truck-motor drive and a super-heavy solid metal body. It doubles the motor count, boosting traction, weight, and smooth pulling power. It can handle curves as tight as 14-5/16 inches (370mm; European R1), fitting into spaces usually for N Scale models. It comes with directional headlights and tail lights at both ends for various operating modes and illuminated pre-printed numberboards.

Using this model is easy. Just connect it to a standard DC power source, and it's ready to roll on your track. When operating, make sure the track is clean to ensure good electrical contact. As for curves, it can handle those as small as 14-5/16 inches (370mm; European R1), but be careful not to force it on extremely tight turns. For maintenance, keep the model clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the body. If the motor needs cleaning, use a can of compressed air to blow away any dust. Also, periodically check the parts for any signs of wear and tear, especially the moving parts. If you need to replace a part, refer to the product's manual or contact the manufacturer for guidance.
