Description
The Atlas Master 20007017 is an HO scale NE-6 caboose representing New York, Susquehanna & Western #117 in red and yellow. The picture might show a different road number. This model is inspired by the standard caboose design of the International Car Company of Kenton, Ohio from the 1940s. Commonly linked with the New Haven Railroad, this body style was also used by other rail lines. These cabooses had a long - running lifespan and were still in operation during the diesel era. Key features include being ready - to - run, having finely detailed end rails, smokestack and ladders, brake line detail, a weighted chassis, friction - bearing or roller bearing caboose trucks, factory - equipped AccuMate® couplers, and accurate painting and printing. There are two body styles: the New Haven with windows closer to the cupola and the Nickel Plate with windows farther from the cupola.
Using this Atlas HO scale caboose is easy. It's ready - to - run, so you can simply place it on your model train track and start using it right away. When handling the caboose, be gentle to avoid damaging the finely detailed end rails, smokestack, and ladders. If you're moving it around a lot, take extra care of the brake line detail. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the exterior to keep the accurate painting and printing looking good. The weighted chassis helps with stability, but make sure the friction - bearing or roller bearing caboose trucks are free of debris. Periodically check the AccuMate® couplers to ensure they're in good working condition. When not in use, store the caboose in a cool, dry place to prevent any potential damage.
