Description
This HO scale Atlas 20005925 60-foot Gunderson 7538 SD boxcar is a must - have for model train enthusiasts. It sports the BNSF livery with the number #761426, in eye - catching boxcar red and white with a wedge logo. Note that the picture might show a different road number. In 2012, BNSF bought nearly 600 of these high - capacity box cars. TTX Corporation followed suit in 2016 with orders for a similar model. With over 4,000 cars in their fleets and more on the way, these boxcars are a common sight across North America. They can carry a wide range of products like paper and bulk items. The 7550 and 7538 models look similar but have key differences. The 7550 has 'grid sides' and double plug doors, while the 7538 features a single plug door and a unique door step below the left side of the door opening. The boxcar comes with great features such as all - new tooling, separate ladders, hand brake and door rods, a door stirrup unique to the 7538, single or double plug doors as per the prototype, a roof with 3 Stanray X - panels and 3 diagonal center panels, a brake arrangement offset to the A end of the body, and crisp, accurate lettering and paint details.

Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model train tracks like you would with other cars in your collection. When you're setting up your train layout, you can use it to create realistic freight scenarios. It can be part of long trains on main lines or short ones on side tracks. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry place to prevent rusting and damage to the paint. If it gets dirty, you can gently clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they may damage the lettering and paint. When handling it, hold it by the body carefully to prevent any parts from breaking off. Remember, this is a detailed model, so treat it gently to keep it in top - notch condition for a long time.
