Walthers Mainline 910-8778 Caboose NP Northern Pacific #1140 HO Scale

Walthers Mainline presents the 910-8778 HO scale Caboose, specifically the Northern Pacific #1140. This International Wide-Vision Caboose is ready to run right out of the box. Introduced in the 1960s, it allows crews to see over larger freight cars. Based on prototypes with a full-width cupola ending at the car roof edge, this model comes with many great features. It was in service from the 1960s to the 1980s, and some are still used as shoving platforms today. It has a wide-vision cupola with two window styles, a Stanray overhanging diagonal panel roof, thin see-through running boards, finely molded end ladders, scale thickness end railings, and an appropriate underbody toolbox. There are also molded drill starter points for grab irons, which can be easily added with the separately sold Caboose Detail Kit #910-201. It's equipped with Barber Swingmaster roller bearing trucks and 33' RP-25 turned metal wheelsets, along with Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. Keep your HO freight trains rolling safely with this caboose at the rear!

Using this Walthers Mainline caboose is a breeze. Just take it out of the box, and it's ready to join your HO scale freight train right away. When setting it up, make sure the Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers are properly connected to the rest of the train cars. As for running it, you can use your regular HO scale train controller. To keep it in good shape, avoid dropping or rough handling. Clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. If you want to add grab irons, use the Caboose Detail Kit #910-201 and follow the simple instructions provided with the kit. And remember, when not in use, store it in a dry place to prevent any damage.
