Description
Enhance your 1960s to 1980s railway operations with the Walthers Mainline 910 - 1211 40' AAR Boxcar, representing the Louisville, New Albany & Corydon #10208 in HO scale. After World War II, thousands of these boxcars were built. When new safety standards were introduced in the mid - 1960s to remove most freight car running boards, many were upgraded inexpensively. These models are based on those rebuilt cars. Key features include: a one - time production of these road numbers (order now as quantities are limited), suitability for 1960s - 1980s operations, no running board or mounts on the roof, tall ladders at the B (brake wheel) end, short ladders at the A end, an improved Dreadnaught 4 - 4 end with a rectangular top rib, a diagonal panel roof, 6' Youngstown doors, 10 - panel riveted sides, 10'6' interior height, an Ajax hand brake wheel, Bettendorf trucks, correct 33' turned - metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) magnetic metal knuckle couplers.

Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Simply place it on your model railroad tracks that are appropriate for HO scale. It fits well into 1960s - 1980s themed railway setups. When handling the boxcar, be gentle with the couplers as they are small and delicate. Avoid dropping or applying too much force on the doors and ladders. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the boxcar every few months. If there's any dust inside, you can use a small, soft - bristled brush to clean it out. Store the boxcar in a cool, dry place to prevent any damage from humidity or extreme temperatures. Remember, this is a limited - quantity item, so take good care of it to enjoy it for a long time.
