Description
This HO scale model train is a BLI 6732 EMD NW2 locomotive, representing the SP Southern Pacific #1945 in a striking Gray and Scarlet paint scheme. It comes with the advanced Paragon4 Sound & DCC system. Note that the picture might show a different road number. From February 1939 to December 1949, GM's Electro - Motive Division built 1,145 EMD NW2 1,000 - horsepower switcher locomotives, which were extremely popular among over fifty Class 1 railroads, industries, and even the US Navy. Our model is of the phase V locomotives. The EMD SW7, a 1,200 - horsepower diesel switcher built between October 1949 and January 1951, replaced the NW2 in the EMD catalog. In this production, we offer models in eight prototypical paint schemes for both the NW2 and SW7, along with an unpainted version of each. Each model is equipped with the Paragon4 DC/DCC Sound & Control System. The model features industry - leading qualities such as the Paragon4 Sound & Control System with ROLLING THUNDER, an integral dual - mode decoder for superb slow - speed operation, a precision drive mechanism for heavy towing, and many other great features. Broadway Limited Imports is proud to present the Paragon4, setting a new standard for premium HO sound - equipped locomotives. It offers dual - mode DC and DCC operation with excellent motor control and a host of great functions.

Using your HO scale BLI 6732 EMD NW2 locomotive is easy. First, make sure you have a compatible track. This locomotive can operate on Code 70, 83, and 100 rail with a minimum operating radius of 18 inches. Connect it to your DC or DCC power source. For DC operation, you can use the DCMaster for sound. In DCC, the built - in integral decoder will handle the controls. You can control the speed, direction, and even the sounds of the locomotive. There are many functions available, like controlling the lights individually in Pro Lighting Mode or using the Switcher Mode for precise low - speed control. When it comes to maintenance, keep the locomotive clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the body. Avoid getting water on the electrical components. The capacitor pack helps the locomotive navigate imperfect track, but on a program track, it will be automatically disabled for full compatibility with JMRI Decoder Pro. If you want to reset the locomotive to its factory default settings, just press the EZ Reset Button. Always handle the locomotive with care, especially when attaching or detaching the metal Kadee - compatible couplers.
