This N Scale Atlas Trainman 50006036 caboose is a fine model of the Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O)-Style Steel Center-Cupola Caboose. It represents the GE General Electric 80004 in eye - catching yellow and blue colors. Note that the picture might show a different road number. The first all - steel cabooses for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad were made in 1937 by the Magor Car Corporation. Eventually, about 350 cabooses with a similar design were built by Magor, St. Louis Car Company, and ACF, with the last ones in 1949. Many of these cabooses remained in service until the 1980s. Similar designs were also built for other railroads. Key features include a sharply molded body, a weighted and detailed underframe, AccuMate® knuckle couplers, and window glazing.
