This ATLAS N Scale PS-2 Covered Hopper is numbered BN Burlington Northern #979038 and comes in yellow and green as a scale monitor car. Note that the picture might show a different road number. Built by Pullman Standard from the late 1940s to the 1950s, it was used to carry granular bulk goods like cement, soda ash, sand, and grain. It features 50 - ton friction bearings or 70 - ton roller bearings (depending on the road name), intricate brake details, Accumate® couplers, and fine painting and printing.
