Description
This HO scale Atlas 20005926 60-foot Gunderson 7538 SD boxcar, sporting the BNSF livery in boxcar red and white with a wedge logo and road number #761451, is a must - have for model train enthusiasts. Note that the picture might show a different road number. In 2012, BNSF bought nearly 600 Gunderson 7538 high - capacity box cars. Four years later, TTX Corporation ordered similar 7550 box cars. Now, their fleet has over 4,000 cars with more on the way. With a 286,000 gross rail load capacity, these cars can haul all sorts of products like paper and bulk items. The 7550 and 7538 look alike but have key differences. The 7550 has 'grid sides' and double plug doors, while the 7538 has a single plug door and a unique door step below the left side of the door opening. You'll spot these cars on large manifests, short lines, and sidings across North America. Key features include all - new tooling, separate ladders, hand brake and door rods, a unique 7538 door stirrup, single or double plug doors as per the prototype, a roof with 3 Stanray X - panels and 3 diagonal center panels, brake arrangement offset to the A end of the body, and crisp, accurate lettering and paint details.

Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model train tracks and couple it to other cars in your train. When handling, be gentle to avoid damaging the separate ladders, hand brake, and door rods. To keep it looking great, use a soft, dry cloth to dust it regularly. If there are stubborn stains, you can use a very mild soap and water solution, but make sure to dry it thoroughly right away. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or high humidity as this can damage the paint and the overall structure. When storing, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading of the lettering and paint details.
