Description
The WalthersProto 50' Evans Cushion Coil Car in HO scale is a top - notch addition for any HO layout. It's designed to protect large steel coils during transit and speed up loading and unloading. These cars were in service from the 1970s to the early 2000s and carried large steel coils used in making cars, appliances, and food packaging. This is a one - time run of these road numbers, so quantities are limited. Key features include removable angled, round, or glass - fiber hoods with matching lifting and stacking brackets. It comes fully assembled with etched metal walkways, grab irons, underframe cushioning, and separate brake gear. The detailed body has a V - shaped load cradle and separate restraints. The heavy die - cast metal frame boosts performance. It has 100 - ton roller - bearing trucks, correct 36' RP - 25 metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. You can quickly detail it with the separately sold Cornerstone Steel Coil Load. It's also perfect for use with the Walthers Steel and Auto Industry Series!

Using this WalthersProto 50' Evans Cushion Coil Car is a breeze. First, you can place it on your HO layout right out of the box as it's fully assembled. To add more realism, you can use the separately sold Cornerstone Steel Coil Load. Just attach the load to the V - shaped load cradle and secure it with the restraints. When handling the car, be gentle with the removable hoods. You can choose different styles of hoods according to your preference and lift them using the brackets. For maintenance, keep the car clean. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Check the wheels and couplers regularly to make sure they're in good condition. If you notice any loose parts, you can carefully tighten them. Store the car in a dry place to prevent rust and damage. Remember, since it's a limited - quantity one - time run, handle it with care to keep it in great shape for a long time.
