Description
This Atlas HO scale 50-foot postwar boxcar represents Missouri Pacific #255056 in a vibrant boxcar red and white color scheme. Note that the picture might show a different road number. After World War II, railroads bought many 50-foot AAR boxcars with a standard design from the late 1940s. It's an updated version of the 1937 AAR design, featuring an improved dreadnaught end and diagonal panel roofs. These boxcars were common on American railroads until the 1970s and 1980s. The boxcar comes with great details like separately applied ladders and grab irons. It has three side sill styles - straight, tabbed, and fishbelly. There are 8-foot and 9-foot Superior or Youngstown doors. The underframe is fully detailed, and it has free-rolling trucks with metal wheelsets. The printing is accurate, and the paint schemes are prototypical.

Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model railroad track and let it roll! When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate details like the ladders and grab irons. Keep it away from rough surfaces. To maintain it, you can use a soft, dry cloth to dust it regularly. If it gets dirty, you can use a mild soap and water solution, but make sure to dry it thoroughly afterwards. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or high humidity as this can affect the paint and the overall condition of the boxcar. Enjoy adding this great model to your railroad collection!
