Description
Get your hands on the Walthers Mainline 910-8710 HO Scale Caboose for the C&O Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad, numbered #903202. This International Extended Wide-Vision Caboose is ready to run right out of the box. It combines the best of the traditional cupola and bay window designs. Used by dozens of railroads from 1965 to the 1980s, many of these cabooses still serve as maintenance equipment and shoving platforms today. Here are its great features: It's a one-time run of these road numbers, and quantities are limited, so order now! It has a correct X-panel roof with no running boards or end ladders. It matches prototype dimensions, being 39' 1-1/4' over buffers, 14' 5-1/2' to the top of the cupola roof, and 10' 7-1/2' wide at the cupola. It has an authentic extended wide vision cupola, a detailed underbody with side-mount brake gear, scale thickness end railings, molded drill starter points for grab irons (easily added with a separately sold Caboose Detail Kit 910-201), Barber Swingmaster roller bearing trucks with 33' turned metal RP-25 wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.
Using your Walthers Mainline caboose is a breeze. Just take it out of the box and place it at the end of your HO scale freight train. It's fully assembled and ready to run. When handling the caboose, be gentle to avoid any damage to the detailed parts. For maintenance, keep it clean by using a soft, dry cloth to wipe off dust. If you want to add grab irons, use the Caboose Detail Kit (910-201) and follow the instructions included. Store the caboose in a dry place to prevent any rust or damage to the metal parts. Make sure to check the couplers regularly to ensure they are working properly for smooth operation on the tracks.
