Description
Otter Valley presents the 6447 NSC 64 Ft 6400 CuFt Scrap and Trash Gondola in N Scale, specifically the DEAX #11333 model. Note that the picture might show a different road number. This is an Otter Valley exclusive! The NSC 64Ft Gondola is popular in construction and waste disposal industries for hauling waste to transfer sites. It's also great for carrying light to medium density steel and other scrapping materials from scrappers to end - users. You can spot these cars all over North America in unit or manifest train services, and it's from the post - 2000 era. The model features accurate ends and sloting based on real - world measurements. It has different offset slots for 7 - rung and 8 - rung ladder cars. Designed using industry sources and field data, it has the correct size air reservoir and brake levers in the'release' position. It comes with metal wheels, coupler cut bars, and proper air hoses. The Microtrains type Knuckle coupler ensures smooth operation. Separately applied ladders and a fully detailed underbody add to its realism. The near - scale size draft gear box has specialized cushion details, and the painting and lettering are as crisp as the real thing. Wheels have appropriate Bremco or Timken parts as needed.
Using this Otter Valley N Scale scrap and trash gondola is easy. Just connect it to your model train set using the Microtrains type Knuckle coupler. You can place it in a unit train or a manifest train for a realistic look. When handling the gondola, be gentle as it has some delicate parts like the separately applied ladders. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body and wheels regularly. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the paint and lettering. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of glue to fix them, but make sure to do it carefully. Store the gondola in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any warping or damage.
