Using the NixTrainz NTZ101 Basic Kit is easy. First, check if the fiber optic fits into the fixture. You may need to clean the hole with an #80 drill. Dip the fiber optic end in CA and push it through the fixture hole. Cut the fixture from the sprue using a sharp knife. Trim the bottom of the fixture to the right length. Use CA to attach the fixture to the LED. Hold it in place until it's stable. After the CA cures, cut the fiber optic from the lighting end. Paint the areas where you don't want light with cheap acrylic craft paint, and apply a second coat to stop light leaks. Test for light leaks with a 9 - volt battery and a 1K resistor. Attach the assembly to your locomotive using GOO, rubber cement, or your preferred adhesive for easy removal later. Route wires and hold them in place with the same adhesive.
