Description
Upgrade your HO Scale intermodal train fleet in no time with the WaltherMainline Thrall Rebuilt 40' Well Cars. As the 53' container became the norm for domestic shipping, older well cars designed for 48' boxes lost popularity among railroads. Starting in 2003, Thrall initiated a rebuilding project to shorten the wells to 40' on both single and five - unit cars. Now, these cars can carry 20' and 40' containers in the well and 40' and 53' units on top. The fully - assembled models are ready for action right away. Key features include: a one - time production of these road numbers with limited quantity, so order now! They come with 100 - and 70 - ton roller bearing trucks, correct 36' and 33' RP - 25 turned metal wheelsets, a heavy die - cast metal frame for excellent performance whether empty or loaded, finely molded 3 - D brake rods with chains, brake piping and weld lines on the body, separate deck - mounted brake details with piping, IBC storage boxes and realistic walkways, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. Note that the picture might show a different road number.

Using this Walthers HO scale model train is a breeze. Simply take it out of the box, and it's ready to run on your existing HO scale tracks. It can easily connect to other train cars using the Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. When setting it up, make sure the tracks are clean and free of debris to ensure smooth operation. As for maintenance, it's a good idea to regularly clean the wheelsets and couplers. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away any dust or dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they may damage the delicate parts. Since it's a limited - quantity item, handle it with care to prevent any accidental damage. And always keep it in a safe place when not in use to preserve its quality.
