Description
The Walthers Mainline 910-2736 is a 40-foot AAR boxcar in HO scale, representing the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie and New York Central. This boxcar design was one of the first standard ones adopted by American railroads. It's a limited - edition model with a one - time production of these specific road numbers. From the late 1930s to the 1980s, thousands of these cars were used in general service. It's based on taller cars with a 10 - foot 6 - inch interior height. Features include 5 - 5 Dreadnaught ends, a Murphy panel roof, a wood running board, 6 - foot Youngstown doors, AAR (tab) side sills, correct 33 - inch turned - metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.

Using this HO scale boxcar model is easy. You can simply place it on your model train tracks to add realism to your layout. When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid damaging the small parts like the wheelsets and couplers. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body of the boxcar every now and then. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the paint or plastic parts. If the wheels seem to be moving slowly, you can use a small amount of model train lubricant on the axles. Keep the boxcar in a dry place when not in use to prevent rusting of the metal parts and warping of the plastic components.
