Description
Enhance your 1960s - 1980s railroad operations with the Walthers Mainline 910 - 1217 40' AAR Boxcar featuring the United Parcel Service livery, #102512 in HO scale. After World War II, thousands of these boxcars were built. When new safety standards came in the mid - 1960s, many were upgraded. They're a great addition to your collection. Here are the key features: One - time production of these road numbers, so order now as stock is limited! They fit 1960s to 1980s operations. Based on cars rebuilt for safety, they have no running board or mounts on the roof, tall ladders at the B (brake wheel) end, and short ladders at the A end. Other features include an improved Dreadnaught 4 - 4 end with a rectangular top rib, a diagonal panel roof, 6' Youngstown doors, 10 - panel riveted sides, a 10'6' interior height, an Ajax hand brake wheel, Bettendorf trucks, correct 33' turned - metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) magnetic metal knuckle couplers.

Using this Walthers HO scale boxcar is easy. You can place it on your model railroad tracks that are suitable for HO scale. It's perfect for recreating 1960s - 1980s railroad scenes. When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid any damage to the small parts like the ladders and couplers. For maintenance, use a soft brush to clean the dirt and dust from the body, wheels, and trucks. Keep it in a dry place to prevent rusting of the metal parts. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of glue to fix them, but be careful not to get glue on the visible parts. This way, your boxcar will stay in good condition for a long time.
