The Decoder Buddy Version 5 - NTZ5 motherboard is designed for 21 - Pin decoders (Scale = HO). Product #NIX - DecoderBuddy now comes with 12 outputs and is compatible with ESU V5 decoders. The Light Test Board is a great tool. With so many lighting functions in modern locomotives, it allows you to easily view and test these functions before attaching the shell to the frame. You can place the frame on the test track to test the motor, speaker, and lighting functions before assembling the locomotive. It also serves as an excellent diagnostic tool to check if the decoder and motherboard are working properly. This Light Test Board is compatible with the 8 - output Original Decoder Buddy, as well as both the 12 - output V5 and V5B versions.

Using the Light Test Board is easy. First, make sure your decoder and motherboard are set up properly. Connect the Light Test Board to the appropriate decoder. Place the locomotive frame on the test track. Power on the track and start testing the motor, speaker, and lighting functions. You can observe how well these functions work through the LEDs on the board. When using, avoid any physical damage to the board. Keep it away from moisture and high - temperature environments. For maintenance, regularly check the connections to ensure they are secure. If you notice any loose connections or malfunctioning LEDs, fix or replace them in time.
