This model, representing the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio #625, has many new and exciting features. It's based on units built from 1963 to mid - 1965, many of which are still in service. New high - hood Norfolk & Western and Southern Railway models are available. You can choose the version with LokSound 5 Sound & DCC for DCC or DC layouts. With road - specific details, see - through steps, and radiator and dynamic brake fans with etched brass grilles, it's a detailed model. Other features include a nose - mounted lever - style handbrake, class lights with separate clear lenses, photo - etched small metal lift rings, and a detailed cab interior with crew figures. Using this WalthersProto GP35 model is easy. First, if you're using a DCC layout, connect the model to your system via the 21 - pin DCC plug. For DC layouts, you can still enjoy the locomotive's basic functions. When running the train, it will move smoothly thanks to the helical gears. You can operate multiple units together easily, just follow the normal procedures for multiple - unit operation. As for maintenance, keep the model clean. Use a soft brush to remove dust from the body, especially from the see - through parts and grilles. Check the wheels regularly to make sure they're clean and in good condition.
