Description
The ESU 59925 LokPilot V5.0 Nano DCC Control Only Decoder is designed for N scale model trains. It's the 'twin' of the LokSound 5 Nano DCC, sharing the same compact size of 19.6 mm x 8.5 mm and a thickness of just 3.2 mm, but without the sound functions. Equipped with the E24 interface, it fits many newly released N gauge locomotives.
This 'pure-bred' DCC decoder offers 14 to 128 speed steps, 2 - and 4 - digit addresses, and can trigger up to 32 functions. Thanks to RailComPlus®, it automatically logs on to a suitable DCC system and works with all DCC programming command stations. Auxiliary registers are available for DCC systems limited to programming CVs from 1 - 255.
It recognizes Märklin® braking sections, ZIMO® HLU / ZACK commands, and the Lenz® ABC system. You can brake with DCC brake modules, DC voltage, or a Selectrix® brake diode. The ABC automatic shuttle train feature enables automatic commuting between two stations.
It can be used on analog DC trains too, with a separately settable maximum speed. The decoder automatically switches between operating modes on - the - fly.
Despite its small size, it has 8 powered function outputs and 5 logic level outputs at the E24 interface. All important lighting functions are available, and you can set the brightness of each output separately. It also controls the automatic start - up and disconnection for ROCO®, Krois®, and Märklin telex® couplings.
The motor control has a variable PWM clock frequency from 10kHz to 50kHz, ensuring super - quiet operation, especially for bell anchor motors. The load control can be adjusted with up to 10 CVs, and the 'Autotune' function allows automatic measurement against the motor. It delivers up to 0.75A motor power. And don't worry, the outputs are protected against overload for long - term use.
Using the ESU 59925 LokPilot V5.0 Nano DCC decoder is easy. First, make sure it fits your N scale model train as it has the E24 interface which is compatible with many newly released N gauge locomotives. You can use it on both DCC and analog DC trains. For DCC trains, it will automatically log on to a suitable DCC system thanks to RailComPlus®. When using it on an analog DC train, you can set the maximum speed separately, and it will switch between operating modes on its own.
When it comes to functions, you can trigger up to 32 functions. You can also set the brightness of each lighting output separately. And if you have couplings from ROCO®, Krois®, or Märklin telex®, the decoder will control the automatic start - up and disconnection.
For motor control, you don't have to worry about noise as it has a variable PWM clock frequency that makes the operation super quiet. The 'Autotune' function will help the decoder adjust to the motor automatically.
As for maintenance, since the outputs are protected against overload, you don't need to do much. Just keep it clean and avoid exposing it to extreme conditions. If you notice any issues, check the connections and make sure it's properly installed.
