Description
The ATLAS 50005584 FMC 5077 Single-Door Boxcar VTR for Vermont Railway #3501 in N Scale is a great addition to your model train collection. Please note that the picture may show a different road number. This boxcar represents FMC's entry into the Plate B IPD (Incentive Per Diem) box car era. It was designed to be the 'most universal', easily interchangeable on most common railroad clearances. The cars were available with or without end-of-car cushioning and came in several door configurations. From 1975 - 1979, FMC's Portland, Oregon plant produced over 4,300 of these cars. They were delivered in various colorful shortline paint schemes and were part of the nationwide car pool fleet of Railbox. Many secondhand cars later appeared in Class 1 railroads and large leasing company fleets under additional shortline reporting marks. Key features include single or double sliding doors where appropriate, multiple body styles, body mounted couplers, a Plate B Box Car design, and an X-Panel Roof.

Using this model boxcar is easy. Just place it on your N scale model train track and couple it with other cars in your train set. When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid any damage to the couplers or the body. Store it in a dry and dust - free place to keep it in good condition. If it gets dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they may scratch or damage the paint and details of the boxcar.
