The ATLAS 50005142 N Scale model represents the NACC 50' Smoothside RBL Boxcar of Delaware & Hudson (D&H) #28001. From 1963 to 1965, the Chicago Ridge plant of North American Car Company (NACC) made nearly 750 of these inside - post 'smoothside' cars. It's a transitional design between Pacific Car and Foundry offset door cars and later outside - post RBLs. With a centered plug door and a 50’ 1” interior length, these lease cars had many colorful paint schemes from the 60s to the early 2000s. This model features accurate and vivid paint schemes with correct road numbers, and free - rolling trucks equipped with knuckle couplers.
