The 150 - 562 Atlas / #4 Customline® Turnout - Right Hand Code 83 (HO Scale) offers prototypically accurate design. It features blackened metal frogs and rivetless switch points for excellent electrical conductivity. You can power these turnouts with an under - table switch machine or standard remote and manual code 83 switch machines. They have the same geometry as Atlas' current code 100 versions, allowing for easy drop - in installation in Atlas and other layout plans. Note that you can't substitute a Custom - Line for a Snap - Switch due to different geometries.

Using this Atlas Customline turnout is straightforward. First, choose your power source - you can use an under - table switch machine or a standard remote and manual code 83 switch machine. Install it in your layout plan just like you would with Atlas' current code 100 versions as they have the same geometry. When handling, be careful not to bend the switch points. For maintenance, regularly check the electrical conductivity of the blackened metal frogs and rivetless switch points. If you notice any drop in performance, clean the parts gently with a soft brush. Remember, don't try to replace this Custom - Line turnout with a Snap - Switch because their geometries are different, and it won't fit properly.
