Description
This N scale Atlas 50004898 PS-2750 Hopper represents Alaska Railroad #14411 in boxcar red and white. Note that the picture might show a different road number. In the 1950s, Pullman-Standard introduced new standard designs for coal hoppers. This 70 - ton three - bay coal hopper has a 2,750 - cubic - foot capacity. The carbody has sixteen side posts and heap shields are optional. Later, an 80 - ton version with a 2,960 - cubic - foot capacity was also available. These cars were built from 1954 - 1960 (2750 cf) and 1964 - 1971 (2960 cf). Key features include fifteen panels, die - cast hopper and center sill construction, a late 20th - century prototype, friction - or roller - bearing trucks, and over 16,000 cars were built following the Pullman - Standard design.

Using this N scale Atlas hopper is simple. Just place it on your model train track as part of your train setup. When handling it, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate parts. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body regularly. If the trucks seem to have trouble rolling, you can use a bit of model - specific lubricant. Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading. And remember, since it's a detailed model, keep it out of reach of small children to avoid choking hazards.
