Description
The Atlas 20005856 is an HO scale 50' postwar boxcar from RDG - Reading, numbered #115322. It features green and yellow colors with XMz markings. Note that the picture might show a different road number. After World War II, railroads ordered many 50' AAR boxcars with a standard design first used in the late 1940s. This design, based on the 1937 AAR one, was modified after the war with an improved dreadnaught end and diagonal panel roofs. These boxcars were common on American railroads until the 1970s and 1980s. Key features include separately applied ladders and grab irons, three side sill styles (straight, tabbed, and fishbelly), 8' & 9' Superior or Youngstown doors, a fully detailed underframe, free - rolling trucks with metal wheelsets, and accurate printing and prototypical paint schemes.

Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model railroad track and let it roll. When handling, be gentle to avoid damaging the separately applied ladders and grab irons. Store it in a dry and dust - free place to keep the paint and details in good condition. To clean, use a soft, dry cloth. If there's more dirt, you can use a mild soap and water solution, but make sure to dry it thoroughly to prevent rust on the metal wheelsets. Check the trucks regularly to ensure they roll freely. Enjoy adding this realistic boxcar to your railroad collection!
