Description
Walthers Mainline presents the 910 - 46013 HO Scale 50 - foot ACF Exterior Post Dreadnaught End Plate B Boxcar of ITC Illinois Terminal #7317. This boxcar is a great fit for HO layouts from the 1970s onwards. As there was a shortage of suitable boxcars, railroads of all sizes started using larger 50 - foot American Car & Foundry Exterior Post Plate B Boxcars. Introduced in 1971, these cars with the popular Dreadnaught end were used in general freight service for years. Our layout - ready and sturdy models have many great features. They are a one - time run of these road numbers, so order now as the quantity is limited! The prototypes have been seen across the country from 1971 to the present. It can handle all types of general freight loading and was used by dozens of railroads. The boxcar has Dreadnaught ends, a Stanray diagonal panel roof, and correct Plate B dimensions (41' 3' Truck Centers, 15' 2' Tall, 10' 8' Wide). It's fully assembled with correct 33' RP - 25 metal wheelsets and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.
Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your HO layout tracks and it's ready to roll. It can carry all sorts of general freight loads for your model railroad operations. When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid any damage to the couplers or wheels. To keep it in good condition, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they might scratch the surface. Store it in a dry and dust - free place when not in use. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of glue to fix them, but make sure to do it carefully so as not to affect the functionality of the boxcar.
