Description
The Walthers Mainline 910 - 2726 is a 40 - foot AAR boxcar in HO scale, representing the B&M (Boston & Maine) #73020. It's based on the first standard boxcar designs used by American railroads. This 1937 40 - foot AAR Modified Boxcar is a limited - edition piece, with a one - time run of these road numbers. From the late 1930s to the 1980s, thousands of these cars were in general service. It features a taller design with a 10 - foot 6 - inch interior height. Key features include 5 - 5 Dreadnaught ends, a Murphy panel roof, a wood running board, 6 - foot Youngstown doors, AAR (tab) side sills, correct 33 - inch turned - metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.

Using this Walthers HO scale boxcar is easy. You can simply place it on your model train track and connect it to other cars in your train set using the Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. When handling the boxcar, be gentle to avoid damaging the delicate parts like the wood running board and the wheelsets. For maintenance, you can use a soft brush to clean the dust off the boxcar regularly. Keep it in a dry and cool place to prevent any damage to the materials. If you need to move the boxcar for storage, hold it by the sturdier parts like the body to avoid breaking the smaller components.
