It can also haul light to medium density steel and other scrapping materials. You can spot these cars across North America in unit or manifest train services, post-2000 era. Key features include accurate ends and sloting from field measurements, different offset slots for 7-rung and 8-rung ladder cars, a brand-new design using industry and field data, correct air reservoir and brake levers in the release position, metal wheels, coupler cut bars and proper air hoses, a knuckle coupler, separately applied ladders, a fully detailed underbody, a near-scale draft gear box with specialized cushion detail, crisp painting and lettering as per the prototype, and rotating roller-bearing wheel caps with appropriate Bremco or Timken branding.
Using this HO scale scrap and trash gondola in your model railroad is easy. Just connect it to your train cars using the knuckle coupler. You can use it to create construction or waste disposal scenes by loading it with small items to represent scrap and trash. When handling the gondola, be gentle to avoid damaging the separately applied ladders and other detailed parts. For maintenance, keep it in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the paint from fading. You can use a soft brush to clean the dust off the car and its components periodically.
