This is a limited - edition HO scale Atlas USRA rebuilt 40' steel box car painted for the freelance Miami Valley Railroad. Road number is MVR 30266. The picture might show a different road number. The Miami Valley Railroad was part of Allen McClelland's freelance journey. Before focusing on the Virginian and Ohio, he modeled in S - scale and created this railroad. The real Miami Valley in southwest Ohio inspired this creation. As Allen's interests shifted to HO scale, he developed the well - known Virginian and Ohio. Some equipment in the Virginian and Ohio story has Miami Valley lettering. This box car beautifully represents the Miami Valley Railroad history with the classic V&O logo in the same position as the V&O offering. The lettering clearly reads 'MIAMI VALLEY RAILROAD' and the reporting marks are MVR. By WWII, most classic USRA double - sheathed box cars were rebuilt with steel sides, and more rebuilds followed later. These steel - side rebuilds are a great addition to the Atlas HO scale product line.
