Description
This is a limited - edition Rapido Trains PC&F 5258 50' double - door box car painted for the freelance model railroad Wyoming Valley and Western. The road number variant is WVW 56319. Note that the picture may show a different road number. The Wyoming Valley & Western, a northeastern regional freelance railroad started by Sam Meehan in 1992 in the Wilkes - Barre, PA area, became a significant competitor after acquiring former D&H and PRR trackage. The B - 70 - 69 boxcars were second - hand acquisitions during the late 90s expansion and got painted in the mid - 2000s. The 50’ double - door boxes, produced by PC&F between 1972 and 1975, are great for freelance applications, suitable for hauling paper products and general merchandise. The Rapido Trains HO scale WV&W PC&F 5258 boxcar has many great features like separately applied metal grab irons, scale - sized draft gear, full underbody brake rigging, and more.

Using this HO scale box car is easy. Just place it on your model railroad tracks. When handling it, be gentle to avoid damaging the separately applied parts like grab irons and coupler cut levers. For maintenance, use a soft brush to clean the car regularly. Keep it away from moisture as it can cause rust on the metal parts. If you need to store it, put it in a dry and clean place. Check the couplers and wheels from time to time to make sure they are in good working condition. That way, your box car will look great and run smoothly on your model railroad.
