Please note that the picture might show a different road number. The Trinity RD - 4 Coal hopper, a 4200 - cubic - foot modern car, has been in service since the mid - 1990s and is still running today. Railroads and public utilities use these aluminum hopper cars in unit trains to transport coal from the fields to power plants or ports for export. This FVM RD - 4 Hopper for BNSF comes with new road numbers and is from the era 2005 to present. It belongs to the series 651400 - 652574, built from June to December 2005. It's fully assembled and offers multiple road numbers. The detailed plastic body, die - cast weight with interior detail, and modeler - applied interior braces add to its realism. The removable coal load, detailed free - rolling trucks, 36” machined metal wheels, and body - mounted operating knuckle couplers (compatible with Micro - Trains®) make it a great model. The printing and lettering are clear even under magnification, and it's weighted to industry standards for reliable operation. It can operate on Code 55, 70, and 80 rail, comes in a clear jewel - box packaging for safe storage, has a minimum radius of 9 ¾” and a recommended radius of 11”. Coal transport by train has evolved over time, and the Trinity RD - 4 represents modern aluminum coal hoppers with high capacity and quick - discharge features.

Using your Fox Valley Models N Scale FVM 10055 Trinity RD - 4 Coal Hopper is easy. First, make sure your track is clean and in good condition. Place the model on the track and connect it to other cars using the body - mounted operating knuckle couplers. You can add or remove the coal load as you like for different display or play scenarios. When it comes to maintenance, keep the model in its clear jewel - box packaging when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.
