Description
The DCC Specialties PSXX3 is an all-scale DCC solid state power district circuit breaker from the PowerShield XX Series. It comes in three configurations: PSXX-1 (1 block, 0 - 10 Amps), PSXX-2 (2 blocks, 0 - 10 Amps/block), and PSXX-3 (3 blocks, 0 - 10 Amps/block). The PSXX3 circuit boards can be separated if needed. Designed for low-power starter systems like NCE Power Cab and Digitrax Zephyr, it has a default trip rate of 2.0 amps. The PSXX series offers reliable protection for model railroad equipment and wiring during short circuits with fast-acting, solid-state electronics. It allows you to divide the output of a single booster into independent power districts. The circuit board is wired between the DCC system’s booster and the track bus and has screw terminals for easy connections. It also features advanced circuit design, current limiting, selectable trip current values, and many other useful functions. It's protected by U.S. patents and comes with a 1-year 'Goof Proof Warranty'.

Using the DCC Specialties PSXX3 circuit breaker is easy. First, wire the circuit board between your DCC system's booster and the track bus. Use the screw terminals for connections. You can choose the configuration that suits your needs, like the PSXX-1, PSXX-2, or PSXX-3. For the trip current, you can use the default 2 amperes, or select other values from 1 - 10 using CV 49. You can also use jumpers to set current limits of 1, 2, 3, or 4 amperes. When it comes to power on/off, you can control it with your DCC throttle. If there's a short circuit, the breaker will trip. You can choose between automatic or manual reset. For automatic reset, it tries to reset every 2 seconds. For manual reset, you'll need to use a switch or a DCC command to reset it. Maintenance is simple. Keep it clean and dry. If you need to update the firmware, Tony's Train Exchange can do it for you. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully when making any changes to the settings. And always remember, it's protected by U.S. patents and comes with a 1-year warranty, so you can use it with confidence.
