Description
This N Scale Atlas Master General American 3500 Dry-Flo 3-Bay Covered Hopper represents WSOR Wisconsin Southern #501308 in gray and black. Note that the picture might show a different road number. The 3500 Cubic Foot Dry-Flo Covered Hopper was a key commodity hauler for over 40 years. In 1959, General American started making these hoppers to meet customer needs for larger ones to handle bulk commodities. Innovations in the 1950s were great for shippers who wanted hoppers for specialized commodities like oats and malt. This model is engineered from prototype blueprints, with accurate body and paint details as you'd expect from Atlas. It comes with many features such as being ready-to-run, made of injection-molded plastic, having fine-scale detail, separate brake detail, a chemically etched brake platform, accurate painting and printing, a prototypical ride height, 70-Ton ASF Ride Control Trucks, 33' metal wheels, and a body-mounted scale coupler.
Using this N Scale hopper model is easy. Just take it out of the box and it's ready to run on your N Scale track right away. When handling it, be gentle as it has fine-scale details that can break easily. Avoid dropping it or applying too much force. For maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe off any dust. If there are stubborn stains, use a bit of mild soap and water, but make sure to dry it thoroughly afterwards. Keep it stored in a cool, dry place to prevent any damage from humidity or extreme temperatures. This will help keep your hopper looking great and running smoothly for a long time.
