Description
The Atlas Master 50006333 presents a General American 3500 Dry-Flo 3-Bay Covered Hopper in N Scale, available in black and white. The picture might show a different road number. The 3500 Cubic Foot Dry-Flo Covered Hopper was a key commodity hauler for over 40 years. In 1959, General American began making these hoppers to meet the demand for larger ones to handle bulk goods. The covered hopper innovations in the 1950s were great for shippers, who wanted hoppers for more specialized commodities like oats and malt. This N Scale Dry-Flo is engineered from prototype blueprints, with accurate body and paint details, just as you'd expect from Atlas. Features include being ready-to-run, injection-molded plastic, fine-scale detail, separate brake detail, a chemically etched brake platform, accurate painting/printing, prototypical ride height, 70-Ton ASF Ride Control Trucks, 33' metal wheels, and a body-mounted scale coupler.
Using this Atlas N Scale General American 3500 Dry - Flo 3 - Bay Hopper is a breeze. Just take it out of the box and it's ready to run on your N scale track. When handling it, be gentle to avoid any damage to the fine - scale details and separate brake parts. To keep it in top condition, regularly clean the metal wheels with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the plastic from warping or the paint from fading. Also, check the coupler periodically to make sure it's working properly for smooth connections with other train cars.
