Description
The ATLAS Master 50006332 presents a stunning N Scale model of the General American 3500 Dry-Flo 3-Bay Covered Hopper in USI Petrothene GACX #50324, available in black and white. Note that the picture might show a different road number. The 3500 Cubic Foot Dry-Flo Covered Hopper was the backbone of commodity hauling for over 40 years. In 1959, General American started making these hoppers to meet the demand for larger ones to handle bulk commodities. Innovations in the 1950s made these hoppers valuable to shippers who needed to transport specialized commodities like oats and malt. This model is a perfect match to the prototype, with every detail carefully crafted. Engineered from prototype blueprints, it offers accurate body and paint details, just as you'd expect from Atlas. Features include being ready-to-run, made of injection-molded plastic, with fine-scale details, separate brake details, a chemically etched brake platform, accurate painting and printing, a prototypical ride height, 70-Ton ASF Ride Control Trucks, 33' metal wheels, and a body-mounted scale coupler.
Using your ATLAS N Scale General American 3500 Dry - Flo 3 - Bay Covered Hopper is easy. Since it's ready - to - run, you can simply place it on your N scale track and start your railway operation right away. When handling the model, be gentle as it has fine - scale details that can be easily damaged. Avoid dropping or rough handling. For maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the body and remove any dust. If there are stubborn stains, a mild soap solution can be used, but make sure to dry it thoroughly afterward. Check the wheels and couplers regularly to ensure they are moving freely and are not blocked. If you notice any loose parts, use a small amount of appropriate glue to reattach them. Store the model in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any damage from humidity or extreme temperatures.
