Description
This Atlas N scale model train caboose, the Monongahela #64, comes in red, white, and black with the MRY logo. Note that the picture might show a different road number. It's based on a standard 1940s caboose design from the International Car Company of Kenton, Ohio. Commonly linked with the New Haven Railroad, this body style was also used by other rail lines. These cabooses were long - lasting and were in operation well into the diesel era. Key features include being ready - to - run, having finely detailed end rails, smokestack, and ladders, brake line detail, a weighted chassis, appropriate friction - bearing or roller - bearing caboose trucks, factory - equipped AccuMate® couplers, accurate painting and printing, and railroad - specific features. There are two body styles: the New Haven with windows closer to the cupola and the Nickel Plate with windows further from the cupola.
Using this Atlas N scale caboose is a breeze. It's ready - to - run, so you can just place it on your model train track right out of the box. When handling, be gentle with the finely detailed parts like the end rails, smokestack, and ladders to avoid any breakage. For the couplers, make sure they are properly connected to other train cars for smooth operation. To keep it looking great, use a soft, dry cloth to dust it regularly. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or solvents as they could damage the paint and printing. If you store it for a long time, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
