Description
The Atlas 20005852 is a 50' postwar boxcar in HO scale, representing Nacionales de Mexico #93064, painted in red and white. Note that the picture might show a different road number. After World War II, railroads bought many 50' AAR boxcars with a standard design first popular in the late 1940s. Based on the 1937 AAR design, it was updated after the war with an improved dreadnaught end and diagonal panel roofs. These boxcars were common on American railroads until the 1970s and 1980s. This model features separately applied ladders and grab irons, three side sill styles, 8' & 9' Superior or Youngstown doors, a fully detailed underframe, free - rolling trucks with metal wheelsets, and accurate printing and prototypical paint schemes.

Using this HO scale boxcar is easy. Just place it on your model railroad tracks and let it roll along with your other train cars. When handling it, be gentle to avoid damaging the separately applied ladders and grab irons. To keep it looking its best, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can clean it with a soft, dry cloth. If you need to move it around, hold it by the body, not the doors or small details. Also, check the free - rolling trucks regularly to make sure they are moving smoothly and the metal wheelsets are in good condition.
