The Atlas 20005799 GARX Insulated 50' Boxcar (Reefer) in HO Scale, specifically the NW Norfolk Western #51504, offers a unique model. Note that the picture might show a different road number. A joint creation of General American and Evans Products, these AAR class bunkerless refrigerator cars started production in the early 1950s. They have a distinct look with two large horizontal panels beside a 7’7” door, connected by a horizontal rivet strip. With fewer seams than regular boxcars, they're less likely to rust and leak.
