Introduced in the early 1960s, these cabooses allowed crews to see over the larger freight cars. This model features a full - width cupola ending at the car roof edge. Key features include prototypes in service from the 1960s to 1980s (some still used as shoving platforms today), a wide - vision cupola with two window styles, a Stanray overhanging diagonal panel roof, thin see - through running boards, finely molded end ladders, scale - thickness end railings, an underbody toolbox, molded drill starter points for grab irons (easily added with the separately sold Caboose Detail Kit #910 - 201), Barber Swingmaster roller bearing trucks with 33' RP - 25 turned metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.
