It's a great addition to keep your HO Scale freight trains moving safely. This caboose combines the best of the traditional cupola and bay window. Used by many railroads from 1965 to the 1980s, many are still in use as maintenance equipment and shoving platforms today. This fully assembled model has these great features: One-time run of these road numbers with limited quantity, so order now! It has a correct X-panel roof without running boards or end ladders. It matches the prototype dimensions: 39' 1-1/4' over buffers, 14' 5-1/2' to the top of the cupola roof, and 10' 7-1/2' wide at the cupola. It comes with an authentic extended wide vision cupola, a detailed underbody with side-mount brake gear, scale thickness end railings. There are molded drill starter points for grab irons that can be easily added with the separately sold Caboose Detail Kit (910-201). It also has Barber Swingmaster roller bearing trucks with 33' turned metal RP-25 wheelsets and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.
Using this caboose is easy. Just connect it to the end of your HO Scale freight train using the Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers. It's fully assembled and ready to run right out of the box. When handling it, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate parts like the scale thickness end railings. For maintenance, you can clean the wheels and couplers regularly to ensure smooth operation. If you want to add grab irons, use the Caboose Detail Kit (910-201) and use the molded drill starter points. Remember, this is a limited - quantity item, so take good care of it!
