Description
Upgrade your HO Scale intermodal fleet in no time with WaltherMainline Thrall Rebuilt 40' Well Cars! As 53' containers became the norm for domestic shipping, older well cars for 48' boxes lost popularity. Starting in 2003, Thrall rebuilt these cars, shortening the wells to 40'. Now, they carry 20', 40', and 53' containers. This set features BNSF Railway #238175 A - E in boxcar red with white, wedge logo, and yellow markings. The picture might show a different road number. These fully - assembled models are ready for service and have many great features. They're a one - time run with limited quantity, so order now! They come with 100 - and 70 - ton roller bearing trucks, correct 36' and 33' RP - 25 turned metal wheelsets. The heavy die - cast metal frame performs well empty or loaded. There are finely molded 3 - D brake rods with chains, brake piping, and weld lines on the body. Also, there's separate deck - mounted brake detail with piping, IBC storage boxes, and realistic walkways. Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers are included too.

Using this Walthers HO Scale well car is easy. Just take it out of the box and it's ready to be added to your train set. You can load it with 20', 40', or 53' containers right away. When handling the car, be gentle to avoid damaging the finely molded parts like the 3 - D brake rods and chains. Keep it away from sharp objects. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body and wheels regularly. Check the couplers and trucks from time to time to make sure they're in good working condition. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of glue to fix them, but be careful not to use too much. Store the car in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any damage from humidity or extreme temperatures.
