Description
An exclusive Otter Valley product! This N Scale 6474 NSC gondola, measuring 64 feet with a 6400 cubic-feet capacity, is designed for scrap and trash hauling. The picture might show a different road number. The NSC 64Ft Gondola is popular in construction and waste disposal industries, transporting waste to transfer sites. It's also used for hauling light to medium density steel and other scrapping materials. You can spot these cars across North America in unit or manifest train services, suitable for post-2000 eras. Model features include accurate ends and sloting based on field measurements, different offset slots for 7 and 8 rung ladder cars, a newly designed model using industry and field data, correct air reservoir and brake levers in release position, metal wheels, coupler cut bars and proper air hoses, Microtrains type knuckle coupler, separately applied ladders, a fully detailed underbody, a near-scale draft gear box with specialized cushion detail, and crisp painting and lettering per the prototype. Wheels have appropriate Bremco or Timken parts as needed.
Using this Otter Valley N Scale gondola model is easy. You can add it to your model train setup to create a realistic construction or waste - hauling scene. Just place it on the tracks and connect it to other train cars using the Microtrains type knuckle coupler. When handling the model, be gentle as the separately applied ladders and other small parts can be delicate. To keep it in good condition, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the paint or lettering. Store the model in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any fading or warping. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of appropriate glue to reattach them, but make sure to do it carefully.
