Description
You're eyeing an N Scale Bowser 38022 - H21a 4 - Bay Hopper, specifically the Penn Central MOW #32094. From 1911 to 1917, 70 - ton H21a 'quad' hoppers were introduced for coal service. Between 1922 and 1923, all early H21 hoppers were upgraded to H21a's by swapping 50 - ton trucks for 70 - ton ones, ready for coal service and increasing the total number of H21a hopper cars to 36,000. The original 1909 - 1930 quad hoppers had 'old - style' double - door hoppers. In the 1930s and early 1940s, these were replaced with'saw - tooth' hoppers, boosting capacity by 39 to 40 cubic feet and making maintenance a breeze. Circle Keystone Lettering started in January 1930, Shadow Keystone lettering in June 1954, Plain Keystone (black car) in July 1956, and PRR Initials only in the early 1960s.

This N Scale Bowser 38022 - H21a 4 - Bay Hopper is a great addition to your collection. To use it, simply place it on your N - scale model railway track. When handling, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate parts. For maintenance, keep it clean by using a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust.
